In response to the COVID-19 virus, on Tuesday 24th March, we took the decision to temporarily cease all external deliveries and non-essential collections, because the health and safety of our staff, suppliers, customers and communities is always our highest priority.
I am pleased to say that over the past four weeks we have structured and implemented a range of new control measures and safety procedures across our business that will now allow a controlled reopening of our yard in Skelmersdale, this will initially commence on Tuesday 21st April 2020
Our operation will be open with a limited service for collections and deliveries for pre-ordered and pre-paid goods only ( minimum order values will apply ) but, in line with UK Government advice we will follow a new set of site safe working procedures, ensuring safe distancing of staff and visitors.
In a bid to further reduce contact and interactions, we are also aiming to remove all paperwork throughout our processes. As such, paperwork will now be issued electronically.
Please telephone our sales office or place orders on line and we will endeavour to services your requirements and keep within the safe working practices as advised by the UK Government.

Sam’s youngest child of three Samuel James Ainscough began working for the family business at the age of 16 in 1998. Ainscough Hire have now expanded and are continuously developing, having installed the Insphire hire software which is regarded as the best software within the industry to help manage, deliver and provide accurate invoicing of our hire fleet to our customers. Ainscough Hire have recently invested in a range of containers, welfare & accommodation units that have been added into the hire fleet, which are proving to be very popular.
We are a valued member of the HAE and EHA trading bodies, in which our details and information can be found on their website, in October 2017 Ainscough Hire was awarded the Safe Hire Scheme from the HAE after passing the annual audit.
